In Memoriam

The in-memoriam project is about celebrating the life and legacy of a loved one. We use our design and production skills to produce a package that celebrates the life of the recently deceased. Celebrating the life of Victor Sipes was a labor of love memorial project we recently completed. The centerpiece of the design package was a 24-page booklet that chronicled his life and achievements. We also created a 15-minute video for the Family hour service from a range of photographs taken through his life and designed a custom Thank You card featuring a photographic collage of his medals. Our work includes original concept design, scripting, photography, editing, printing, and delivery. The package has been so well received by the family and loved ones that we have had requests to deliver dozens of extra copies of the booklet to extended family and friends to keep as a heritage document for future generations.
Real Estate

One of my great loves is photographing homes, not only because it helps to communicate a story about the space for potential home buyers and real estate agents but it continues the creativity and visions of the architects and home builders. In addition, I have a thing for doors; whether walking into a 14th-century pub in west Berkshire, UK, or through the streets of Stavanger in Norway, I am lured by the craftsmanship and detailing of the fixtures.
Photographing this home in the San Gabriel Vally, CA was a joy, the details of metal and wood work, complimented the terracotta tiling, that contrasted the lush green surrounding vegetation.

For this project, I set up a 3-camera shoot for models undergoing various treatment services offered by the Spa. I also did a series of product and facility photographs that complimented the video production. After the shoot, I edited, color corrected, and laid the audio tracks for the video segments. I provided the client with short, medium, and extended versions of each video segment. This allows her to use them on her new website and social media platforms to promote her business. Finally, I provided 100 product and facility photographs that complemented the video production. All these photographs were color corrected to match the theme of the series.

This project was a great destination wedding shoot in London. I did sequences for the Brides arrival at the church. Candid shots during the official ceremony, and the couple, family, and friends exit from the church. I then photographed the wedding party at a 2nd location - Streatham Park Gardens and the evening reception at Wandsworth Town Hall. After the event I color corrected and edited photos, presented them in an album format.

Sol-3 Avenue is a Women's and Men fashion and accessories Company launched in 2017. Throughout the Company's tenure, I provided a series of creative services projects to help promote the brand:
LOCATION PHOTOSHOOT - PASADENA CALIFORNIA
I did an outdoor shoot with models wearing the brand fashion and accessories and a series of product shots for this project.
VIDEO DIRECTING - MICHIGAN For Sol-3 Avenue YouTube channel, I directed a series of multi-camera video interviews and web shorts centered on live Zoom sessions.
EDITING CONSULTING I provided editing techniques and pacing consultation to Sol-Avenues' founder for the Web videos as she sought to develop her digital media content outreach.

3D Stereoscopic Production
My involvement in this film was far-reaching and involved a range of skills from 3D stereoscopic live capture, stereoscopic editing, training, and the newly developed techniques for 3D stereoscopic color correction using the latest State of the Art Quantel Pablo toolset. The project was groundbreaking as it was the first 3D Stereoscopic Production produced on the graduate program at the University of Southern California. At the time, I was one of a handful of experts on Stereoscopic 3D Post-production in North America, and I was able to work alongside the Director, Tyrell Lloyd, on achieving his vision. I was required to design a lot of "How-to" techniques for the production staff. For example, recording live Stereoscopic Videography (Left Eye, Right Eye) with audio directly from a digital movie camera into a disc-based post-production system. I also had to train the production staff on the techniques of color Correcting stereoscopic videos on the Quantel Pablo. This involved masking, power windows, and perspective adjustments to ensure the images played back correctly in stereo 3D but that they also had the artistic feel that the Director wanted.
